This question can be answered in a vary way. Through life, we find people with different attitude, some are very active, and some are very lazy, but we also find people that are going through a lot of difficulties in their lives. The active student will always do his or her homework because they know that to get a good grade you need to work hard for it. The ones that are lazy don't care about their grades therefore they will not do their homework. Finally, the ones that are having problems, those student sometimes do not feel comfortable at their homes or they need to work to take care of themselves, such as paying bills for their rooms and other thing that people pay. We can closed this by saying that people don't do their homework because they are lazy and they have other thing to take care, but the question now, what school or ELHS should do to help those student to be active beside giving them homework?
a) You begin your comments with " I notice that_______________." And then continue with your questions, "so I'm wondering__________."
b) begin your questions with the word "Why?" For example, "Why do some students not eat the school lunch?" "Why are students tired after lunch?" " Why doesn't the school give a small break after lunch?" "Why do teachers give [or why don't they give]" students homework for the weekends?"
Can you all go back and rephrase your questions? Except Xue Qing Liang's question about grades and study time . Your questions do not need to be changed?. (Why do you think I am saying this?)
c) Remember your questions need to be about people/things at our school.
Asking about violence and "our lives" is an interesting question, but it is not one we can research at our school and get solid answers.
That's the same thing with sadness in our lives. It is a good question to think about. But it isn't researchable in what we're doing.
